Times a changing

Times a changing.....or just my hair, either way, I wanted to share with you my Mid life crisis moment. I have been talking about putting pink in my hair recently. I am not sure where I got this idea, maybe from Pinterest? (Who would have thought Pinterest would be a bad influence). While I was in New Orleans the other week, I saw a girl there who was a photographer and she had blond hair with pink tips. That got me thinking, you know what, I am in a industry where being different is a good thing and I shouldn't be afraid to try new things. This is the year of change anyway. So after I told Matt about it, he was all for it and encouraged me to do it. I guess because he knows how much I am struggling personally right now and thought it would be a good outlet/ fun thing for me to do. What a great supporter he is. So after much searching through pinterest and google images, I came up with these images

So here is my hair that day before I left for the salon:
Nice and brown throughout with a touch of grey if you look close.lol. I guess Texas has not been well to me.

Here is a photo I took with my phone while in the chair. It was a little scary to see all the bright pink. I let my stylist have complete control. I showed her the pics above and told her to do what she thought best. We decided to go darker on top and then do blond and pink streaks underneath.

I was there for about two hours, but I think it was all totally worth it to have the pink put in my hair.

(Does my forehead look big or is it just me?, lol.)

You really can't see the pink a whole lot, it is very subtle. It really shows on the tips and the cowlick I have on my left side which exposes a huge chunk of pink which keeps it interesting.

On Monday morning everyone asked me if I partied a little too hard over the weekend. I have to explain to them that I am old and don't do that anymore, but when you are talking to a bunch of 50 year olds, my age doesn't mean a thing.

Have you ever done something wild and crazy with your hair when you just needed a change? Tell me all about it, I would love to hear what all y'all have done.

It looks great on you! Don't you get annoyed with the comments of older people sometimes? I never know if they're trying to be funny or hurling an insult. At any rate, enjoy your pink. I am pretty sure pink makes everything better. :)

Comments are much appreciated!
